Terms of Service

Effective: 24 July 2026 · twoCents Labs, Inc. [replace with legal entity + registered address]

1. The deal

twoCents lets you file everyday dilemmas anonymously and vote on other people's. By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, don't use the service.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use twoCents. If your country sets a higher digital-consent age — GDPR Art. 8 allows 13 to 16 across the EU/UK, and India's DPDP Act treats under-18s as children — you need verifiable parent or guardian consent until you reach it. One account per person; keep your credentials to yourself.

3. Your content

You own what you write. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, de-identify, adapt (e.g. the automatic rewrite into a postable case), display and distribute it within the service and in aggregated verdict statistics. Cases are published anonymously and stay up after account deletion only in fully de-identified, unlinkable form — unless you delete them, in which case they go too. Don't file other people's identifiable stories, doxx anyone, or post content that's unlawful, hateful, or sexualizes minors. We may refuse, de-identify further, or remove content.

4. House rules & moderation

No harassment, no attempts to unmask other users, no vote manipulation, bots, or scraping. We moderate with a mix of automated tools and humans; you can report any case in-app. We may warn, restrict, or terminate accounts that break the rules. Where required (e.g. EU DSA, India IT Rules), we provide a statement of reasons and an appeal channel: appeals@twocents.co.in.

5. The verdicts are entertainment

Crowd verdicts are opinions of strangers, provided for reflection and entertainment. They are not professional, legal, medical, or psychological advice, and you shouldn't make significant life decisions based on a 62–38 split.

6. Our stuff

The app, site, brand, logo, and verdict-card designs are ours or our licensors'. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your devices. Don't copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it except where law permits.

7. Liability & disputes

The service is provided "as is"; to the extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months (nothing — it's free). Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited (e.g. gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights in the EU, UK, or India). Governing law and venue: [jurisdiction — set with counsel]; consumers keep the protections of their home country's law.

8. Changes & termination

You can delete your account anytime in Profile → Delete account. We may update these terms with 30 days' notice in-app and by email; continued use after that is acceptance. Contact: legal@twocents.co.in.

Design draft, not legal advice. Have counsel review before publishing. Bracketed items must be replaced.
